Our Story
We are the Hope After Birth Charity, a registered non-profit organization in Uganda founded in 2022. Hope After Birth was established to give a hand in helping premature babies, and street children and providing healthcare services to the people in our community.
We established hope after birth after one of our brother’s wife was admitted and gave birth to a premature baby at 24 weeks with 700g and was in the NICU for 4 months the hospital bills were too high but we managed to get someone who helped us raise half of the hospital bills despite of helping us.
Other mothers needed help and no one was there to help so we decided to form this organization to become the voice of those mothers who have no way of reaching out for help.
Hope After Birth is involved in helping poor mothers from local health care centers mainly with premature babies giving them a soft hand in providing mama kits, pampers, bedsheets, medicine, and counseling also giving a hand in solving the hospital bills.
We went further and traced the miracle babies living on the streets and provided them with basic needs eg food water shelter clothing.
We extended our heart to the community by corroborating with professor Wamukota Memorial Medical Center best in Mbale district Uganda in giving mainly dental, and health talks on diabetes free HIV testing free family planning to the poor people in the villages.
We are looking forward to extending help to all remote areas in Uganda so we welcome your hand for support through donations and getting involved in our journey
